Today, PBS, along with its websites and mobile apps, is the nation's largest classroom. It is the No. 1 media content treating its audience as citizens, not consumers. Much more than Sesame Street and fun, PBS is curriculum driven, meeting school standards and igniting curiosity to a high number of young children who do not attend school or may be at risk of beginning kindergarten less prepared.
Education is also about visibility; its about widening the bandwidth of exposure of information so it can reach the intended audience. And while PBS certainly does their part, we come in to expand the visual reach and gain larger support. This 10x10 pop up canopy tent reminds us all where our priorities should lie.
